Guilherme Tamega
Guilherme Tâmega is a Brazilian bodyboarding champion. Born 3 September 1972, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Tamega won the Shark Island Challenge bodyboarding event three times in a row. He competed in the international bodyboarding World Tour.Tâmega won six world titles, plus six runner-up places, and was twice crowned ISA World Bodyboarding Games champion.
Washington Teixeira
• Over 30 years experience in the Bodyboarding industries. • Organizing state and national events since 1987 in South America with governing bodies • Vice-President of the Brazilian National Federation for 2 mandates. • Part of the first World Bodyboarding Tour with GOB. • Associate and sales representative of a variety of Bodyboarding brands and accessories in Brazil from 1988 to 2001. • USBA Technical Diretor during 2010-2012.
Patti Serrano
From Tom Morey and Company to GT and Company, Patti Serrano’s career annoints her as the OG of creating the sport of Boogie Boarding. Hitting beaches nationally to introduce the board to newcomers in the 70’s has given her the expertise to launch a revival for the Next Gen. Spending time on founding a publication (BIM) and a competive tour (BIA) gives her added clout to be the consigliera of the Boogie Fests.
Randy Whitmire
Randy is a life time athlete and a principal at San Diego Bodyboarding. After several years of training he competed and helped run the California Bodyboarding Tour. He finished 3rd and 5th overall in 2022 and 2023 in the Master’s Division. He also competed in the Master’s Division in the Shred the Web contest were he finished 3rd. Randy has coached kids in soccer and in Bodyboarding, and with Joaquim Gomes is looking to have a real impact on the next generation of Groms.
Arturo “Arlo” Serrano
Arturo “Arlo” Serrano grew up around the sport of boogie boarding. From the age of four he started riding his first waves on a Morey Boogie Board. Forty-six years later Arlo still loves riding his boards in the ocean and the rivers of Colorado. Today, he rides waves based on the type of board the wave can be best ridden. Mike Strawley
Drake, 14 years old, is a competitive bodyboarder from San Diego, California. He won the junior divisions of the California Bodyboarding Tour in 2022 at the age of 12, while making the finals and semi-finals in two of the open mens divisions. Drake competed on the IBC World Bodyboarding Tour in 2023 in Antofagasta, Chile and was the youngest competitor in the competition, finishing in 15th place. Drake recently joined GT Boards and is excited to be an ambassador for the sport, getting more kids stoked on boogieboarding in the mainland U.S.
